ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Charles Deane Wiseman gave two 17-year-olds a lesson in Hate 101 as he encouraged them to take a paintball gun and "go nail some Eskimos". Wiseman, 20, brought his kid brother and a pal, on a joyride that involved videotaping the teens while they attacked people with marble-sized paintballs. A dozen people were injured, but no one was seriously hurt. Wiseman was charged with misdemeanor assault, and community leaders are calling this a hate crime. Alaska doesn't have hate crimes legislation, but the governor is looking into possible responses to the attack, including a bias crimes law.
