A 16-year-old black male was walking his 17-year-old female cousin home when three men driving pass them allegedly yelled "white power" and gave a Nazi-style salute. The cousins started to run when the car made a U-turn toward them. Two of the men got out, shoved the young woman and spat on her. The men also kicked and punched the young man to the ground, and the third man slashed the teen with a machete-like weapon, inflicting deep cuts on his back and shoulders.
The young man and his cousin were attacked because of their race.
